Tell is what your taste of music is, what you listen to and what your favorites are.
links to Youtube or other places to get a taste is much appreshiated Smile

Here are some from me

Got a hot streak for In Flames atm, liked them for years - but been listening to alot of stuff here and there. Decided to listen to a record of em again, brought back memories and reminded me of how kick ass they really are Smile

(links to youtube)
Crawl Through Knives
Only for the Weak
Take This Life
Trigger
Cloud Connected
Come Clarity

These are just some of my favorites from In Flames:)

Other bands i like:
(more youtube links)

Soil
Halo

Disturbed
Prayer

Tool
Stinkfist(Wicked video - or, ordinary tool ^^)

System of a Down
Aerials

Iron Maiden
Childhood's End

Some examples, but i got a very wide taste of music, and it changes according to my mood. But im deffo more a rock/metal man - think Zan will pick up some of the more "local" bands we like bounce

Heya, me and Chris have alot of the same music taste. But i feel i need to mention more of our Norwegain cool music. So here is a list of my favorit norwegain music and videos i found at youtube, tho i have no idea how to link them, so huney, please fix the links for me tongue Thanks hun', i know i can count on you allways.

First of all, since i know there are alot of people in guild that likes metal, here are some of the bands i used to listen to, tho i still like them, i dont listen that much as i used to. But they are still good music, and for those that have metal at heart, check them out! And ofcourse, they are all norwegain bands.

Satyricon:
When i was 18 i went to a concert with them, me and 3 other girl friends were standing outside in que to get in, when i decided to light my cigarett. In front of me there was a very tall guy with very long black hair, i didnt have that in mind at all when i lightned up my cigarett, that unfortunatly also caught fire to his long long hair. I completly paniced, and patted his back as fast as i could. He wasnt happy at all, but lucky me, he was a "gentelman", and ended up buying me a beer instead. *phew*
King

Anyone of you that knows norwegain heavy metal, knows this band...and if you dont, you better check it out.
Dimmu Borgir:
Burn in hell
The mourning palace
Sorgens kammer II(Chamber of sorrow II)
Puritania

Immortal:
Grim og frostbitten kingdoms

The next band is actually from my Home town of Hamar in Norway, and the fun part is that beside being heavy rockers - they make a living working in kindergardens.
Stonegard:
Arrows
Hunter
Barricades

Here are a few bands that i really want to mention, but couldnt find any music vidoes of them out there...
Thundra
Mayhem

Turboneger is a band that has gotten international known the last 3-4 years, but they are not heavy metal, but their fun way of being and fun music is worth to be mentioned. And besides they are great fun live, and they really know how to get their audience having a great time!
Turboneger:
Sell your body (to the night)
get it on

Amulet:
Crash into my room

This is a kiss song that some norwegain rock/metal musicans decided to create together, when it came out i loved it from the very start. I was cool to see those different bands getting together for the fun of it.
Black diamond brigade:
Black diamond

Ok, now we are coming to abit softer aspeckt of norwegain rock. The first one i want to mention is Animal Alpha, acctually on valentines day a year ago, Chris gave me concert tickets as a present and it was great great great fun evening. That lady you see in the music vidoes is as crazy has she seems, and oh boy can she sing live! Both me and Chris love this band.
This is Chris's favorit song from them:
Most wanted cowboy
And this is mine favorit song:
Bundy(Catch the murlock sounds she makes at the beginning Razz)
Pin you all

It was my birthday, atleast 3 years ago and i was working as a bartender that evening at the local studnet house where Surferosa held a concert. Chris managed to get their album for free, with signatures and even posters and more. That was a good birthday, even tho i was working Very Happy
Royal Uniform

I have never heard from any norwegains that they dislike or hate Big Bang, they are a fun loving great rock band.
Girl in Oslo(Live)
Wildbird(Soundtrack)

Madrugada, ofcourse, do i need to say more. Atleast nationally they are very famouse.
The Kids are on high street

Briskeby, i just like their music, i dont know why:
Joe Dallensandro

This is "pop-rock" band that you can never go wrong with, even at parties with the biggest bimboes and they all like this band:
Don't think the way they do

Here are 2 things that you MUST check out! They both rooted in old traditional norwegain folk music, but with a rock twist. I love this sort of music, to take something so traditional and change it into so cool. You can also notice their music vidoes, being typical norwegain, with stories of Huldra (a beuatiful women that is famuouse for luring guys into the woods, small waters with their magical powers, where the guys are never found again, they are recognizable by their tail) and other magical creatures.

Gåte:
Sjaa Attende
Bendik og Årolilja

This last girl, is in real life a friend of me and Chris. Or more of a friend of my very best friend (or half sister as i think of her). The music video is made by my best friend and her BF and the music made by Martine. She gave out her music about 2 months ago and is still new, fresh and getting constantly more famouse on radios. She plays a Hardingfele, which is also a norwegain traditional music instrument. Enjoy!

Martine Lund Hoel:
Villdans (Wild dance) Razz

Well, since I'm wasting time and being all lacksadaisical today I might as well jump on the bandwagon and see if I can find some music to put up here, just for the hell of it.

The links aren't gonna be all pretty and cute like the others though, I'm no techhead and about as proficient with coding as your average neanderthal.

First off is Volbeat. I like their new take on classic rock, always been a fan of hybrid music but these guys are pretty refreshing. Good music to have on your Zen while working out too Smile

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBLVLeDqr5o

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eclMypNggQQ&feature=related

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfWXo9gKYJ0&feature=related

I've always been a fan of morbid and melancholy music. Don't ask why, I have no idea myself. ^^

Tool

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hglVqACd1C8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCEeAn6_QJo&feature=related

I heard Poe before they got famous, when they were still and underground band struggling to make it overseas. One of the few positive things my ex-fiancee left me with. Worth mentioning that most of the videos on youtube with them are crap versions, seems you have to go over to checking AMV's to find album versions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sBvxqB5VT4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5F_QSF9CxQ&feature=related

if you've lived in a cave for the last 15 years (or are young) you might not have heard Radiohead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uYWYWPc9HU

Godsmack usually has a place in my playlists. Morbid lyrics, social commentary and a guitar I've learned to appreciate makes it good pvp music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQaznAe9aL4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOO2CFYYk_A&feature=related

My music tastes belong to a schizophrenic I'm afraid. When I claim listening to everything I actually do listen to everything. I'll spare you the jazz though, that's an aquired taste and not something I'd recommend listening to until you've found your own niche in it.

Some fun music just to get your spirits up after going through the depressing list above.

Toby Keith

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNVdggvioqU

They Might Be Giants

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkVHdUkMJdk&feature=related

Copyright claims from WMG and general lack of initiative keeps me from finding anything else at the moment.

Hmm i see some names i n the previous posts i happen to like too... Satyricon and (older) In Flames rule Smile

I play bass, and try to listen to as much different music styles as i can on a matter of enhancing my "musical ear", but i gotta admit it, i'm a metalhead to the bone... =P

My favorite band is Death, to me will always be the best band ever. I listen to mass quantities of death metal, lately been turned to Gojira, a french progressive death band, absolute genious, and The Faceless, a buch of american kids that pack quite a punch of fusion death metal, pretty impressive. Like the american death/trash core stuff too, Lamb of God being perhaps the best from that scene.

As for the northern europe scene, besides the bands you guy posted, i relished both Katatonia and Opeth's carrer evolution from the earlier albums to nowadays, and can easily say it's a part of who i am. Those two would have to be number two and three on my list. Also listened to a lot of At the Gates and Carcass

I may be caught in the mood for some other stuff too, i absolutley love Tool, the whole 90's Seattle and L.A. grunge rock scene honestly, specially Alice in Chains.

And i like soundtracks. All sorts of it, from Pocahontas to Silent Hill, you name it lol!

I've been good, working as a sound engineer at KGB in Stockholm and trying to get Grande rolling! I'm not on the picture, but I expect there to be more pictures up later today or tomorrow, we did a press shoot yesterday so Smile I'm the bass player, joined them abit after the first photo shoot, hence I'm not on it.

I'm actually thinking about installing wow again. Has anything changed? Better, worse or the same? Mostly thinking about 49 bracket, I'm not intrested in end game whatsoever since I don't have the time, either I'm working, playing or I spend my time with the girlfriend, but she'll be gone most of the summer so I might have to kill some monday/tuesday nights Smile

Stuff has indeed changed, both end game and bracket 49. Twinking has been made "impossible" at lower backets due to a very fun patch of late that set character lvl requirement for leg patches/enchant to be able to get their bonus. Not just item lvl anymore. This ment most enchants and other supertwink items at the lower twink brackets, but had a minimum effect on the 49 bracket. We only lost our leg patch, but considering everyone did, not much changed.

Some new and interesting talents avaliable at 49, which makes stuff abit more interesting. Alliance is having a very hard time atm, since horde is for the most part more coordinated and fueld in the effort of winning the game. So, if you have any nearby alliance twinks on SWC please make one Smile

Noctem has their own alliance guild on SWC now too with the purpose of lending alliance a hand in their 49 bracket BGs. Goes abit slow with the lvling up due to our mains being horde and on another server, but its getting there. We also have had the pleasure of getting more nice alliance players to our horde guild Noctem, who also come from SWC. They also have twinks in our alliance guild, or elsewhere on the server.

So, there is alot of action going on at the 49 bracket, not as golden as it was back in the good old Noctem/KoC days, but not far from it. Once we get more alliance twinks up and going we might just be there.

Anyways, will check the band link every now and then for updates, sounds promessing so far. Great to hear from you anyways, even if you dont start playing wow again. But rest assured, if you do you will have a "home" in Noctem if you would wish it Smile

Seems with all this metal it's p to me to mention the old heroes which i like the most:

Classics
Jimi Hendrix
Neil Young
Bob Dylan
... and the rest of 'em Razz

Nowadays:
Bob Hund (surf punk/rock)
Fu Manchu (stoner)
Kyuss (stoner)
Tommy Tokyo (don't really know Rolling Eyes )
Tim Scott (McDonnell)
Kaizer Chiefs
The Streets (mostly the first album)
----- In short, almost the entire lineup of this festival: www.bukta.no (it's like they made the festival based on my cd-collection.)

For some strange (embarrasing) reason:
Lily Allen (especially "Fuck You")
Jamiroquai (some songs)
Gatas Parlament (not big on rap, but these guys are good)
Gorillaz

Aight.., now its my turn

Like Ed from FURtv says: Not everybody like's metal.., *BEEP* THEM! (Made me laugth for days. Nearly smashed a keyboard with my head when it came down while i was trying to get breathing again XD)

You guess it, i like metal. And metal and pvp ar a dang good recipe for adrenaline.

Ever heard off: Scar Symmetry?

Scar Symmetry is a so called: "Melodic Deathmetal" band. I don'd wanna agrue about that fact iff there not deathmetal or not, i think its just one off the best metal bands out there. Scar has everything good headbangin' noise needs. Power. and loads off it.

I wanna introduce you Scar Symmetry with these following sounds:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mebSi4PDC34
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XX0p7Y3gND4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGWg0vxfvHI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOnD9MS8RUg&feature=related

But, like always, there is just this one song, that catches you, consumes you, and is never gonna let you go. This is a number I "excidently" found while surching for new numbers from Scar. For that day i found it, it brough chaos in my live.

Scar Symmetry - Chaosweaver. I'ff i turn this number on in a good bg, with some healer assist and a good team off Horde.., i go balistic. A true "i am a god!" Feeling overwhelms my hole knowhow and i am one with this stunning wreckidge.

(excuses for the 300 movie clib. Couse this had the best quality off the song. Then again, it matches Doony's wrechlessness and bloodlust )
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idErKVh7004&feature=related

Sad to say, the singer in the band: Christian Älvestam, is no more in Scar Symmetry.., he will be greatly missed...

Heya! Thought I'd throw in my two cents.

Haha and oh my, all you metalheads..! Very Happy
Funny how WoW often seems to have a lot of metal fans. Maybe I should also try playing some during PvP, hm...!

As for me... my music taste is pretty eclectic.. I listen to and enjoy a lot of different genres. I mostly like to state that I just like 'good music', hehe. But I'm also not ashamed for playing songs like 'I'm a flirt' by R.Kelly sometimes. Some music is just so bad it's good! (and hilarious really, that one)
I have a LOT of music as well, currently sitting on 57 GB.. Oops. What I listen usually comes in periods.. sometimes it's oldskoolish hip hop for weeks, like De la Soul, Jurassic 5, etc. Then I'm into things like Sigur Rós and Múm for a while. Then it's all new electro like La Roux and Uffie. And then I go back to indie folk stuff like Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver. After that it's time for some oldies like Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone. I also really really enjoy minimal electronic music like Ryoji Ikeda or Yagya. Etc!
Anyway, you can see exactly what I listen to here: http://www.last.fm/user/Winkelmander If you want to listen to some stuff just click the artists and there's likely a bunch of samples and videos there Smile

Here are some fave songs of me, in random order.

Prehistoric Dog by Red Fang, it's stoner rock, I'm guessing most of you will like this best! The video is also pretty hilarious, it has nerdy LARP guys! And beer. And more beer. And then PvP in beer-suits. And the guys rock HARD. I want one of these guys in my closet. Ok I'll shut up now.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3Vcoq-QRo4

Part of a Sigur Rós concert from the Heima dvd. This band is SO fucking impressive live. Guaranteed goosebumps for me. I hear the Icelandic landscape in their music, and I get a strange form of homesickness for a country I've never been to. When I watch the dvd I usually cry a little haha.
I love the wall of noise this song builds up.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH0EQm6Jmi4

Electric Feel by MGMT.. I love this song!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtUI5MC9tVM

Cat Power's version of Hit the Road Jack. I think she has one of the sexiest voices around Smile
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcORVY9UGIY

The Black Swan/Promise by CocoRosie and the Concertgebouw Orchestra. This is a mix between classical/opera and the freakfolk of CocoRosie, you either love them or you hate them Wink This concert was a collaboration with the best classical orchestra in the Netherlands and the band, it was superspecial and a one time thing, I'm so glad I was there! You may hear me screaming in the audience hehe.
(oh and the mix of genres starts around 4.30, if you get impatient)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7mToH61cUM

Data.Microhelix by Ryoji Ikeda, this is the minimal stuff I was talking about. Be sure to have your bass on for the low tones!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S_2r0J7bHo

I could make a hundred more links but I'll stop now Wink

I'm a person who's kinda liky Moghy.. I can listen to pretty much everything, and there are periods where I listen to some music, and the next something completely different. I kinda love when I suddenly find old songs I used to listen to - but couldn't remember the name. I often find myself to start playing them then.

I like most of the music you metalheads have been posting - got kinda the same tastes as Kroggy and Zantix etc. However, I can't really stand BM - it's just.. too much I suppose. Like Dimmu borgir - don't really like them.

I've never been able to list my favorite bands or artists, and probably never will. Though if I had to name someone right now, it would probably be Muse. You just can't dislike Muse(!)... Awesome live performers as well (imo).

That's all you get outta me at this point - might come more.. dunno Razz
